  • Keep your blog engaging and interesting. Steer away from too much technical jargon.
  • Use stories  and analogies (preserve patients/client confidentiality).
  • Be careful of “analysis/paralysis.” Just get started and take action.
  • Before you begin start by establishing ….
    • What  doyou want your  core message to be (and stick to the message).
    • Jot down 4 key take home points and write your blog around these points.
    • Who are you targeting? What do they want to know about and how do you need to deliver the messageConsider categorising your blogs based on “target audiences,”  or setting up specific pages in your blog  for target audiences…or better still…create individual web page/blogs for certain target audiences… as part of a mulit-domain marketing strategy. Target Audiences could inldue
      • Peers (General Practitioners? Multidisciplinary peers?). Consider the use of technical jargon (still keeping a personable and interesting approach). Peer-reviewed articles or links to credible sites.
      • Patients/Clients?
      • Marketing partners? Strategic alliances? Local traders?
  • Extend the blog’s “reach and engagement.” Share. Share.Share using appropriate channels for your target audience and SEO strategy. For example:
